Yellow Sunflowers blooming in our field in 2020

August Bloom and The Whimsy of Nature

Planting sunflowers of this magnitude is a labor of love and a test of patience. Some of these varieties take over 110 days to raise from a mere seed to a blossoming flower. The colors, shapes, and sizes are an amazing feat of Mother Nature.

The Farm’s Annual Sunflower Festival

August

Discover some peace from this world's challenging times in our tranquil sunflower field. Wander through our over 20 varieties of exquisite sunflowers thriving across four acres. These sunflowers are an array of brilliant colors: reds, yellows, cream, white, and orange. Choose one of your favorite sunflowers to cut and take with you at the end of your walk, or choose to pick a bouquet of flowers from our field for an additional charge to take home. During the walk you’ll pass by many other types of flowers to enjoy, surrounded by bees, butterflies, and even hummingbirds!

Not Only Sunflowers - An Experience Like None Other

Our farm is comprised of woods, rivers, and fields. Some fields, like that of the sunflowers, are used to grow vegetables and fun experiences for our farm guests. When you visit the sunflower festival, be sure to stop by our Farm Stand to browse our produce, pantry, frozen, and flourishing plants, many of which are grown right here on our farm. For your enjoyment, we also have cold water and iced tea available, pack a picnic and enjoy it at the farm. We also will be hosting other fun experiences within the sunflower field, such as, yoga, painting and knitting classes. Come celebrate Sunflowers at Sunset with us featuring Pizzazz Strings date to be announced. These classes and experiences will be priced above the regular ticket price, and will be available on our ticketing site. Reserve your place soon, as all entry is time ticketed.

New Growth Taking Root In Fertile Soil

We at The Farm have been growing and harvesting produce in Woodbury for over 30 years. We are proud to call Woodbury our farm home. In the 1800's, Woodbury, like much of the state, was compromised mostly of farmland. We as farmers have watched many family farms, along with their land, slip away. Our farm is truly a family business, led by three brothers and our parents who mentor us as we move forward in our farming lives. Our crew, comprised of conscientious, hard-working individuals, further our farm's vision with their passion. Your purchase of our Sunflower Festival admission ticket provides a way for our family farm to stay positive and relevant in this changing world. Our sunflower field seeks to provide a deep-rooted, simple, earthly experience that only a family farm can deliver.
